Hi! I'm Nichelle.
I'm the face behind Blooming Resale. I'm a dog mom, wife, and avid podcast listener. Riding my bike with my husband, picnics at the beach, traveling and thrifting/secondhand shopping bring me the most joy. I'm a teacher at heart and am slowing building a life that I absolutely love.
This business bloomed out of my motivation to become completely debt-free. I began by reselling, primarily, handbags online and realized I was pretty dang good at it. Through my debt-free journey I came to learn I really, really loved this little business of mine and knew I eventually wanted to take it to a new level. I finally achieved my debt-free goal in June 2021 and moved my little operation out of my house and into a commercial office. I began working with a few consignors and the feedback I received was so positive and encouraging. It seemed only natural to expand my online business to include a storefront.
All the pieces came together to build my vision for the store and was able to open in September of 2022. It has been a wonderfully wild ride and I wouldn't have it any other way. I now have an amazing team who work for me and the absolute best consignors in the world. I consider my consignors to be friends and take the trust they put in me very, very seriously. Blooming Resale is truly a dream come true and I'm grateful every day I get to put out our open sign and welcome shoppers in.
Side Note: the photo above is quite an old photo of me, however there's a reason I keep it here. This photo was taken when I was working out of a 10x10 bedroom in my home. I took this photo with my phone leaning against a stack of textbooks and had to move all kinds of clutter out of the way for this photo to look halfway decent. I keep this photo here to remind me of the girl who started this business. She was someone who just figured it out, wouldn't take no for an answer and let all the doubters doubt.
